The Jenkins-Anderson Academy of Irish Dance, located in Manchester, extends a warm invitation to all members of the sports community. Under the guidance of Sophie, a fully qualified Irish Dance Teacher (T.C.R.G) with 20 years of competitive dancing experience, the academy offers a range of classes for all ages and skill levels.
Sophie, originally from Ireland, moved to the North West of Manchester for university and always dreamt of opening her own dance school. Her passion for Irish dancing and her vision to create a supportive community led to the founding of Jenkins-Anderson Academy.
The academy provides classes for both children and adults. For kids aged 3 and above, whether beginners or with some dance experience, classes are available at St. Cuthbert's Parish Hall in Withington on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The focus is on fostering a fun and friendly environment where young dancers can grow and support one another.
For adults, the “Get Up & Move” class is a hit. It caters to former dancers, newcomers to Irish dancing, and existing students looking to try something different. Held on Mondays and Wednesdays at St. Cuthbert's Parish Hall, these sessions combine fun and fitness, with opportunities to learn various techniques and ceili dances.
Current members consistently praise Sophie's teaching and the enjoyable atmosphere of the classes. Both children and adults cherish the opportunity to enhance their dancing skills while having a great time.
Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, Jenkins-Anderson Academy of Irish Dance welcomes you to join their enthusiastic dance community.
