Babs Freeman, the founder of Isvara Wellbeing and the lead yoga instructor at Isvara Yoga in Fleet, is a dedicated and experienced practitioner who is passionate about promoting wellness of the body and mind. Born and raised in Germany, Babs has always had a strong interest in health and fitness. She initially pursued a career in gymnastics before relocating to England to study dance. It was during this time that she discovered the transformative power of yoga.
Inspired by the likes of Shiva Rea and Baron Baptiste, Babs embarked on her yoga journey and became a qualified instructor. She developed her own unique style and also obtained qualifications in fitness instruction, yoga therapy, and mindfulness. In addition, Babs holds a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, enabling her to provide emotional support and guidance to those in need.
Understanding that wellness is a deeply personal journey, Babs created Isvara Wellbeing as a platform to offer a three-pronged approach to wellness: yoga, mindfulness, and counselling. At Isvara Yoga, located in the picturesque Poole area of Dorset, Babs leads classes in Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga, pregnancy yoga, and baby yoga. Currently, these classes are held online.
In addition to yoga, Babs also leads workshops and eight-week courses in mindfulness. These programmes are designed to help individuals find inner balance, manage emotions, and cultivate a deeper sense of presence and awareness in their daily lives.
Recognising the importance of emotional support, Babs also provides counselling services. Through compassionate and attentive listening, she helps individuals navigate through challenging times, gain clarity, and embark on a healing journey.
Furthermore, Babs has always had a special connexion with animals and recognises their therapeutic value. Through her association with 'Helping Hands, Healing Hooves' in Dorset, she has merged her passion for therapy with her love for horses by becoming an Equine Facilitated Psychotherapist.
Babs' teaching style is characterised by calmness, focus, and a wealth of knowledge. She personalises her instruction to meet each individual's needs and creates a nurturing and supportive environment. Her clients have spoken highly of her teaching, commenting on the positive impact it has had on their lives.
Whether you are looking to discover the joys of yoga and mindfulness or seeking emotional support, Babs Freeman and the team at Isvara Wellbeing are committed to helping you achieve balance and fulfilment in your life. Contact Babs today to embark on your wellness journey.
