Infinity Yoga is a yoga and pilates studio located in the heart of Glasgow. It is a welcoming and inclusive space where people can come to explore themselves and their own unique movement practises. Colette, the owner and creator of the studio, has over 20 years of teaching experience and believes that the teacher-student connexion is a blend of both the student's energy and willingness to learn, as well as the teacher's passion and years of experience.
The studio offers a wide range of yoga and pilates classes to suit every practitioner. From Yin Yoga and Vinyasa to Original Hot practises, Forrest Inspired, Power, Hatha-Raja, and Pilates, there is something for everyone. The teachers at Infinity Yoga believe in variation and community, encouraging students to explore their practise both on and off the mat. Rather than giving strict instructions, they offer suggestions and foster open communication in each class.
Infinity Yoga's hot classes provide a challenging workout that aims to challenge the body and relax the mind. These classes are suitable for beginners, runners, cyclists, and gym enthusiasts alike. In a heated room, students move through a series of standing and floor-based postures, enjoying the natural detoxification that the heat stimulates.
For those looking to build warmth, focus, and circulation, Vinyasa classes are the perfect fit. These classes work on upper body awareness, lower body stamina, and provide a cardiovascular workout. Students will learn the techniques for an efficient practise and are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat.
In addition to dynamic classes, Infinity Yoga also offers Yin Yoga, which is a slow-paced, passive practise. The postures in Yin Yoga are held for extended periods of time, allowing students to focus on their fascia and grow awareness within their own bodies. This practise enhances flexibility and promotes relaxation, making it a perfect counterbalance to our fast-paced lives. Yin Yoga is particularly beneficial for those looking to process emotions, as it provides the time and space to allow suppressed feelings to surface.
For individuals who prefer one-on-one attention, Infinity Yoga offers 1–1 sessions to grow knowledge and practise. The studio also provides Pilates classes, focusing on the principles of concentration, control, centering, and more.
Infinity Yoga is more than just a studio; it is a community of individuals on a shared journey of self-discovery and growth. With its variety of classes and experienced teachers, everyone is welcome to join the Kula and explore their mind and body.
