Roger wishes to extend a warm welcome to everyone from the running community to the Hogweed Trotters Running Club, based in Bristol. Started in 2000 by a small, energetic group of runners, the club now boasts over 100 members, including some of the founders.
At Hogweed Trotters, Roger aims to foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all runners. Whether you're just starting out with a goal to improve fitness, training for a 5k or 10k, eyeing a marathon, or even considering Duathlons and Triathlons, you'll find support here.
The club strikes a perfect balance between enjoyment and challenge. Members are encouraged to push their limits while having fun. You'll find many participating in events like the Bristol and Bath Half Marathons, the London Marathon, and the local Hogweed Trot 10k.
Training and social runs are held twice a week on Wednesday evenings, Friday evenings, and Sunday mornings, taking place along the scenic routes of the Cotswolds, no matter the weather. The “sheep dogging” policy ensures no one is left behind, making sure everyone feels included and safe.
