Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced bowler, the club caters to everyone's needs. The club is located in the picturesque village of High Legh, just off the A50 in Cheshire. It is easily accessible and has ample parking available.
The club was established in 1986 and started by offering indoor bowling in the local Village Hall. In 1989, the club completed the construction of their own bowling green, allowing for outdoor bowling as well. With over 100 members, the majority of whom are High Legh residents and long-serving members, the club also attracts bowlers from nearby areas such as Appleton, Grappenhall, Knutsford, Lymm, Stockton Heath, and Warrington.
The club's facilities include a clubhouse with a clubroom, catering facilities, and toilets, which are located right next to the green. They are affiliated with both the Cheshire County Crown Green Bowling Association and the Greater Manchester Crown Green Bowling Association. As a result, the club fields nine teams across various leagues, including ladies', men's, and mixed teams in the Knutsford, Norley, and Trafford Leagues.
High Legh Bowling Club offers a range of events and competitions throughout the year to cater to the different interests and abilities of its members. One popular event is the Fun Day, which attracts both members and non-members alike. The club also offers coaching and support for beginners, with a special offer of three months free membership and coaching for new players.
Membership fees at High Legh Bowling Club are reasonably priced at 28 per year for outdoor bowling and 6 for winter indoor bowling in the Village Hall. They also offer a half-price offer for beginners.
