Teignbridge Trotters HQ organises the popular and challenging Haytor Heller moorland race, which has been a staple in the club's calendar for 38 years. Scheduled for Saturday, July 20th, 2024, the race will kick off below the iconic Haytor Rock and cover a demanding 6-mile off-road course featuring steep inclines, descents, and a stream crossing. Runners are advised to follow the Country Code and remember that furry friends and bikes are not permitted to accompany them during the race. Safety is paramount, so the use of headphones or earphones is strictly prohibited, and runners caught breaking this rule will face disqualification.
Interested participants should secure their spot early as the race is capped at 350 entrants and has sold out in eight of the past twelve years. Registration can be completed online via the provided website, and number transfers on race day will incur a £3 administrative fee per transfer. Race Headquarters will be situated at the Coach Park, located at the back of the lower car park. While toilets will be available, there will be no shower or changing facilities. Post-race celebrations will include a spread of delectable treats, including the renowned Trotters cakes, and a BBQ for all to enjoy.
