Haydon Wick Bowls Club

Just off Thames Avenue, opposite Morrisons Supermarket, you'll find the Haydon Wick Bowls Club – a top spot for bowling fans of all levels. Helen and the team at the club have created a friendly and welcoming place, complete with a cosy clubhouse and a small bar. Ladies and gents each have their own changing facilities, and there's plenty of parking right next to the six-rink green.

Throughout the winter, the club keeps the excitement going with a full activity programme. Whether you're a pro or brand new to lawn bowls, you'll fit right in. Coaching sessions are on offer, and there’s always a warm welcome for newcomers. Fancy giving it a go? Coaching happens every Monday at 6:00 pm from May to September, with all gear provided – just bring yourself and some flat shoes.

Haydon Wick also has a lively Boules (Petanque) section, with games every Tuesday and Saturday morning, year-round. For a small fee, you get to play and enjoy refreshments like tea, coffee, and biscuits.

The club’s not just about bowling – they’re big on community spirit too. In 2024, they’re supporting the Prospect Hospice with events to raise funds for this fantastic local charity.
