Welcome to Happy Mountain, a cosy yoga studio nestled in the breathtaking hinterland area of Ballina/Byron in Wollongbar. With over 23 years of existence, Happy Mountain is more than just a yoga studio; it's a sanctuary where members of the community come together to find balance and wellness of the whole Self.

Happy Mountain offers a peaceful haven where individuals can connect with one another and within themselves. It is a place where strength, empowerment, resilience, and inner peace are experienced. The studio is dedicated to honouring the self and creating a transformative experience for all who enter.

As a community-oriented studio, Happy Mountain acknowledges and respects the traditional custodians of the land, the Bundjalung Nation, who have taken great care of the land that we now enjoy. We pay our gratitude to the Widjabul-Wiabul people from Lismore and surrounds, and the Ngyanbul people from Ballina and Cabbage Tree Island.

The experienced team at Happy Mountain brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in various aspects of yoga and holistic therapies. From Yin Yoga, Breathwork, Meditation, Sound Healing, Reiki to Flow (incorporating hatha yoga and qigong, to music), there is a diverse range of classes to suit every individual's needs and preferences.

Happy Mountain is thrilled to have Liz Costigan from Plateau Life Yoga, teaching Iyengar Yoga, Kate Lucas from Chrysalis Byron Bay Breathwork, facilitating Breathwork for healing and transformation, and Apple Zhang Feng teaching Introduction to Vinyasa. The team is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students to thrive.

The studio itself is thoughtfully designed, creating a serene and uplifting atmosphere. Classes are choreographed to ambient uplifting music, transforming the experience into a multisensory journey. Gerri, the founder of Happy Mountain, starts each class with a daily reading and ends with a guided relaxation, fostering a deeper sense of connexion and peace.
