Welcome to Happy Kids Yoga, a yoga studio dedicated to providing exciting, creative, and calming classes for children in New Zealand. At Happy Kids Yoga, we believe in combining fitness, fun, and relaxation to help children grow in confidence and reach their full potential.
Our unique classes integrate yoga and mindfulness, offering children aged between 2. 5 and 12 an immersive and imaginary adventure. During each session, children act out their adventures using yoga postures, allowing them to stretch their bodies and release physical tension. The class begins with calming breathing exercises, followed by a relaxing “eyes closed story” where children can unwind and let their imaginations soar.
Our class journeys include flying on magic carpets, swimming with dolphins, and even riding on Santa's sleigh at Christmas.
While your child is having a blast, they are also improving their overall health and studies have shown a positive impact on their academic abilities. Our classes provide a welcome alternative to the performance-driven environment that many children face today, encouraging them to explore their imagination and enjoy the present moment.
In addition to our studio classes, Happy Kids Yoga also offers workshops and sessions for schools and nurseries. We aim to improve the mental health and wellbeing of primary school children and teaching staff by providing yoga and mindfulness techniques. These techniques can be incorporated into the classroom routine, benefiting both the children and the staff members.
