Celebrating a momentous milestone, GSCA inaugurated the Sardar Patel Chess College in Ahmedabad on October 3rd, 2014. Named after the iconic Iron Man of India, Sardar Patel Chess College is the nation's first institution dedicated to providing specialized chess education.
The Sardar Patel Chess College is a distinguished affiliate of Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, recognized under the UGC Act of 1956, and offers groundbreaking degrees in Chess Training. The college aims to foster the development of qualified chess coaches and instill a deep-rooted passion for chess among students. Mr. Bharat Singh Chauhan highlighted the significant role this institution will play in nurturing local talents and strengthening the foundation of the Chess in Schools Program, especially in Gujarat, the backyard of the Prime Minister.
