Grandview Skating Club, located in Vancouver, has been providing quality skating programs since 1966 at Trout Lake. As a one-stop "LEARN TO SKATE" club, they offer a wide range of Skate Canada programming, including CANSkate, STAR1, STARSkate level 2 to Gold competitive programs, adult skating, off-ice training, CANPower, and Special Olympics Learn-to-Skate and Competitive Figure Skating. All programs are taught by certified Skate Canada coaches.
The club operates year-round, with Fall and Winter sessions held at Trout Lake Community Centre and Spring and Summer sessions at Britannia Arena and Sunset Arena. Grandview Skating Club is a non-profit organization run by a volunteer board of executives, with all club operations, except coaching, carried out by parent volunteers and skaters. Volunteer work is vital to the club's success and quality.
The mission of Grandview Skating Club is to encourage skaters to reach their potential in a fun, supportive community, while their vision is to guide skaters on a life-long journey of development and passion for the sport.
