Charlesworth Ballet Institute offers the Grade Four Ballet program for students at the Grade 4 level. With two 1-hour classes per week, this program provides a comprehensive experience in Classical Ballet.
The Grade Four Ballet program consists of a Level 1 class and a Level 2 class. The Level 1 class serves as a prerequisite for Level 2, allowing students to progress and build their skills. Level 1 classes are conveniently held at various locations including Applecross, Burswood, Canning Vale, Cockburn, Duncraig, North Perth, and Karratha.
Once students have completed Level 1, they can move on to the Level 2 class, which takes place at our main studios. In this class, students further develop their classical technique, enhance their strength and flexibility, and prepare for their yearly grade examination and End of Year (EOY) productions. Participation in the Level 2 class is mandatory for those who wish to perform in the EOY productions.
To ensure dancers are in the right mindset for Classical Ballet, we have specific uniform requirements for all our classes. These uniforms not only provide practical clothing for dancing but also create a safe and focused environment. For more information on uniform requirements and suppliers, please visit our website.
In addition to regular classes, Grade Four students have the exciting opportunity to participate in Classical Ballet examinations at the end of the third term. These examinations are conducted in a positive and supportive atmosphere, with a focus on growth rather than fear or undue stress. Students who successfully pass the examinations receive a certificate and report, recognising their achievements.
At the end of the year, Level 2 students are presented with a fantastic chance to showcase their talent in our EOY productions. These productions feature well-known ballet performances such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, and many more. Students will have the incredible opportunity to dance alongside industry professionals and Youth Ballet WA students at major theatres across Perth.
We can't wait to see the Grade Four Ballet students shine on stage and share the joy of ballet with the community. Make sure to mark your calendars for this unbelievable event!
