Charlesworth Ballet Institute offers a Grade Five/Six Ballet program for students in Grade 5/6 who have a passion for dance. The program consists of two 1-hour classes per week, specifically a 'Level 1' class and a 'Level 2' class.
In the Level 1 class, students will be introduced to new exercises of Classical Ballet technique. The focus of this class is on developing musicality, dance steps, harmonious coordination, and improvisation. Our Level 1 class is held at three convenient locations: Burswood, North Perth, and Karratha.
For those who have completed Grade Four studies at Level 2, the Level 2 class is an additional weekly special technique class. In Level 2, students will continue to strengthen and develop their classical ballet technique. They will also be introduced to turns, preparing them for their yearly grade examination. As an added opportunity, all Grade 5/6 Level 2 students will have the chance to participate in our major ballet production.
At Charlesworth Ballet Institute, we believe in creating a positive and supportive atmosphere for our students. That is why our Classical Ballet examinations are conducted without fear or undue stress. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment where students can showcase their skills and receive recognition for their hard work. Upon completion of the class examinations, students will receive a certificate and report.
Towards the end of the year, our Grade Five/Six Ballet Level 2 students are encouraged to participate in our exciting End of Year (EOY) productions. These productions showcase popular ballet performances such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, and more. It is an incredible opportunity for our students to dance alongside industry professionals and Youth Ballet WA students. Our EOY productions take place at prestigious theatres across Perth.
