Goulburn Valley Martial Arts is a sports club located in Shepparton-Mooroopna, Australia, offering Muaythai training for all ages and abilities. The Kid's Muaythai classes are suitable for children aged 6–12 years, teaching them the basics of Muaythai in a safe and controlled environment. The classes focus on improving fitness, self-confidence, and social skills, following a fully graded syllabus. There are separate classes for Peewee Muaythai (Grade Prep to Grade 3) and Junior Muaythai (Grade 4 to Grade 6) that run during school terms.
For teens aged 13–17 years, the Teens Muaythai classes offer a more challenging approach to Muaythai. These classes cater to beginners and advanced levels, promoting confidence, self-defence, and fitness. The classes take place every Monday and Wednesday during the school terms.
Seniors aged 18 and above can join the Seniors Muaythai classes, which provide more challenging training for both beginners and advanced students. These classes focus on fitness, self-confidence, improved mental health, self-defence, weight loss, and the opportunity to compete. The club also offers training in amateur and professional Muaythai bouts with their coach Mat Reid. Classes are held Monday to Thursday at 6:00pm, with additional fundamentals classes on Fridays at 5:30pm.
For those interested in Muaythai competition, the club offers training for both amateur and professional levels. Goulburn Valley Martial Arts has trained numerous fighters, producing an impressive number of state, national, and international champions. Fighters train every weeknight from 5:30pm to 7:30pm under the guidance of Mat Reid.
In addition to group classes, Goulburn Valley Martial Arts also offers personal training with head trainer and former Professional Muay Thai Champion, Mat Reid. With over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, Mat provides one-on-one training for individuals who want to learn Muay Thai or improve their technique.
