Experienced sailors to beginners and everyone in between, and we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and inclusive community.

Located at the Holdfast Quays Marina, locally known as the Patawalonga, Glenelg Yacht Club offers easy access through a lock capable of handling boats up to 24. 0m long and 5. 5m wide. What sets us apart is our commitment to providing low-cost memberships, allowing everyone to participate in sailing or power boat activities without the high costs typically associated with yacht club memberships.

At Glenelg Yacht Club, we have a strong emphasis on social outings and functions. We believe that a great club should not only offer facilities and services but also provide a lively and engaging social atmosphere. Our club is run by boaties, for boaties, ensuring that we cater to the specific needs and interests of our membership.

In addition to our focus on social events, our primary goal is to improve facilities and represent our membership. We recognise that owners of keel yachts and larger power boats have different needs compared to small boat operators. The lack of public swing moorings at popular locations often forces boats to anchor, resulting in damage to seabed plant-life. Through the installation of moorings, we aim to prevent this ongoing ecological damage.

Their support allows us to provide high-quality resources and services to our members, including discounted rates on ropes and marine fittings, digital printing and signage solutions, boat sales, and more.
