Students and seniors receive a 15 per cent discount on single person memberships, while Algoma University alumni receive a 20 per cent discount on single person memberships and 10 per cent on family memberships.
To purchase a membership online, individuals can register for a My GLC account and renew their memberships through the account. New members must visit the GLC front desk to have a membership card created and complete a physical activity readiness questionnaire before their first visit. Monthly payments are available through bank withdrawal or credit card at the front desk or online.
Algoma University students have access to the GLC once tuition fees are paid, and can gain entry by scanning their student card at the Reception Desk. Students enrolled in summer classes have access during the summer months, while discounted summer memberships are available for non-enrolled students. Alumni must show proof of graduation to receive discounted rates.
Individuals 16 years and older can purchase a community membership, while those aged 13-16 must complete a mandatory orientation. Family memberships are available for households of four, including spouses, siblings, and children under 25. Additional discounts are available for students, seniors, and individuals over 55.
The GLC also offers various packages such as tennis and pickleball, walking passes, weight room and cardio access, family swim, active living, and corporate memberships.
