In the Classical Ballet programme, Nursery Ballet is available for children aged 2. 5 years and above. From the age of 5 years old, children will work through the BBO Dance syllabus, progressing from Pre-Primary to Advanced level.
Tap Dance classes are also available for children aged 2. 5 years and above. Tap Dancing helps develop musicality in all forms of dance by exploring rhythms and tempos. Starting at the Nursery level, children follow the BBO Dance syllabus from Pre-Primary to Advanced level.
Children can join Tap classes at any age and will be placed in the appropriate level.
Modern Dance at Gemma Shaw School of Dancing combines a range of free-work and BBO Dance syllabus work, making it fun and energetic. This dance style focuses on fitness, strength, and flexibility, while learning steps, exercises, and routines to the latest pop songs. Children can start Modern Dance from the age of 5 years old.
