In addition to her expertise as a Personal Trainer, Gemma is also a skilled Sports Massage Therapist. After expanding her knowledge in 2021, she now incorporates sports massage techniques into her practise. This additional knowledge allows her to have a deeper understanding of the human body, dysfunctional movement patterns, and how to programme workouts more effectively. Gemma's sports massage therapy sessions focus on reducing muscle tension, breaking down scar tissue and adhesions, increasing blood flow, improving range of movement, and correcting movement patterns to prevent further issues.
Gemma also offers a variety of fitness classes that can be modified to suit people of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels. For a full-body blitz, there's Powergise, which utilises bodyweight exercises and dumbbells/kettlebells to build strength and improve cardiovascular fitness. Pilates classes follow the 6 Principles of Pilates, aiming to improve posture, flexibility, and core strength. HIIT classes provide an energising workout that raises the heart rate and increases strength.
Lastly, the Stretch class focuses on full body stretching, mobility work, and incorporates traditional Pilates exercises.
Fitness classes with Gemma are available both in person at her Strength & Stretch Shed and online via Zoom. The class timetable offers flexibility to accommodate busy schedules. Whether clients prefer a face-to-face session or the convenience of virtual classes, Gemma ensures that everyone can participate and benefit from her expertise.
