Membership at Geelong Sports Aviators is open to anyone with an interest in recreational aviation, whether they own a plane or hold a licence. One of the highlights of Geelong Sports Aviators is their famous BBQ lunch held most Saturdays around noon. This is a fantastic opportunity for visitors to experience and learn more about recreational flying. The club also offers a range of activities, flying events, and social gatherings for members to get involved in. Additionally, members have the opportunity to hire the club plane for their flying adventures.
Geelong Sports Aviators offers a few different membership options, including Full Membership which costs $150 annually, Pensioner Membership for $100 (must provide proof of pensioner card), and Junior Membership for $50 (for those under 18). Membership fees are due on July 1st each year, but pro rata payments are accepted for those joining in a different month.
Becoming a member of Geelong Sports Aviators comes with several benefits, including the ability to vote and be involved in the club's decision-making process, access to the club plane for hire, use of the clubhouse and facilities, discounted lunch at Saturday BBQs, participation in club activities and social events, and the opportunity to represent the club at the Avalon Airshow with free entry tickets.
