Gateway Amateur Boxing Club officially opened its doors in 2009 and has since become a staple in the Stanford-le-Hope community. Situated in Lampits Hill, Corringham, Essex, the club welcomes not only local residents but also individuals from the surrounding areas who are interested in the sport of boxing.
Run solely by dedicated volunteers on a non-profit basis, Gateway A. B. C is a community club that relies on its members' subscriptions to operate successfully. With minimal funding, the club's selfless volunteers give up their own free time to provide a fun, healthy, and safe environment for members of all ages.
Affiliated with the Essex A. A. and England Boxing, Gateway A. B.
C offers boxing and fitness training for individuals aged eight and above. Additionally, the club is proud to be affiliated with the Essex Boys & Girls Clubs, which provides members with exciting domestic and overseas adventures at discounted prices. Members who wish to join these events can directly contact the Essex Boys & Girls Clubs or speak to a Club Coach.
Gateway A. B. C's sessions cater to a wide range of individuals, from those looking to improve their fitness and well-being to talented boxers who aspire to compete at a competitive level. The club's experienced trainers, who collectively possess decades of knowledge and experience in the sport, focus on instilling good technique and ring craft vital for successful competition.
