Gaia Yoga Etc. is a welcoming and warm neighbourhood yoga studio located in Gatineau, Quebec. Established nearly 9 years ago, the studio has been fully renovated to reflect a modern aesthetic. The founder, Danielle Godfrey, is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher from the East to West School in Toronto, ON.
Her aim is to motivate individuals and help them relax through Hatha Yoga classes combined with Kundalini, Vinyasa, Yin, energetic, and meditative movements, all while advocating for an approach tailored to each individual.
The central philosophy of Hatha Yoga revolves around the belief that every person is divine in all aspects – body, mind, and spirit. The body and mind are seen as sacred vessels through which the radiance of supreme consciousness can shine. At Gaia Yoga Etc. , every person is respected and honoured for their abilities and limitations.
There is no judgment or comparison among students, as each person begins exactly where they are. The role of the teacher is simply to assist students in revealing their inner beauty and divinity that are already present in each pose.
By using universal alignment principles, the body aligns with its inner pulse to create a therapeutic, informed, and creative experience in each pose.
