Welcome to Full Swing Vintage Dance Company! Located in Wellington, New Zealand, Full Swing is the original vintage dance school in the area. Whether you want to have fun, get fit, or meet awesome people, Full Swing is the place to be to learn swing dance.

The dance school offers Lindy Hop beginner classes, which will be starting early in 2024. The cost for these classes is $100, or $80 if you're a student, CSC, or gold card holder. If you're new to swing dance or have just finished your first beginner block, these classes are perfect for you. The classes will cover Charleston, 8 count, and 6 count basic footwork, as well as some awesome moves.

Each block introduces new moves, so even if it's your second time through, you'll be learning something new and building on your repertoire.

For those who have completed the beginner classes or want to move up, Full Swing offers Lindy Hop improver classes. These classes dive deeper into Charleston, 6 count and 8 count, and add more moves. The cost is also $100, or $80 if you're a student, CSC, or gold card holder. It is recommended to do the beginner block twice before moving up to ensure strong foundations and proficiency in basic moves.

For more advanced dancers, Full Swing offers Lindy Hop intermediate/advanced classes. These classes focus on moves, technique, musicality, social dancing, and making the fundamentals fun. It is important to have an even-ish balance of leaders and followers in this class, so please specify your preference when registering.

Full Swing also hosts a Lindy Hop beginner bootcamp, where students can learn all the basics of a beginner Lindy course in one day. The cost is $75 with pre-registration or $90 on the day. This bootcamp is a great opportunity to brush up on what you've learned or prepare for the improver course.

In addition to classes, Full Swing hosts Sunday social sessions, where dancers can enjoy a relaxed and fun environment with a mix of fast Balboa music, blues grooves, and favourite Lindy tunes. These sessions are child-friendly and open to all. Entrance is $5 at the door.

Full Swing prioritises the health and safety of its dancers, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hand washing and hand sanitising stations are provided, and while masks are not required, they are welcome. It is important to respect others' comfort levels and space. If you are sick or required to isolate, please do not attend.

Instead, get tested and stay at home until you are well.
