Fudoshin Aikido Cardiff, led by Alex, is a long-established martial arts school in Cardiff, Wales. Since its founding in December 2005, the club has operated as a non-profit entity, managed by its members. It serves as the main dojo of the Fudoshin Aikido Association and is affiliated with the Mutokukai Europe network of Aikido organisations.

Alex and the team welcome beginners, visitors, and new members alike, ensuring a friendly and inclusive environment. The club has a diverse membership, encompassing individuals from 18 to those in their 60s, with experience levels from a few weeks to several decades. The instructors, who are formally qualified, collectively bring many years of teaching experience.

Committed to the study and development of Aikido, Fudoshin Aikido Cardiff reinvests membership fees—after covering basic expenses like rent and insurance—into courses and seminars with esteemed teachers from the UK and abroad. Several of these events are held annually.

The club places a high priority on safety and well-being, upholding values of equality, diversity, and inclusivity. All activities are conducted with fairness and respect, and strict safety protocols are followed. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, contact practice has resumed in line with government guidelines.

Practise sessions require pre-registration due to limited participant numbers. Sessions are held on Mondays from 19:00-21:00 at Chapter Arts Centre in Canton, and on Fridays from 18:00-19:30 at St John's Church Hall in Danescourt, specifically for weapons practise. The club also sponsors the Cardiff University Aikido Club, which meets on Saturdays from 14:00-16:00 during term time.
