Join Frome Selwood Bowling Club for a brilliant chance to master lawn bowls in a laid-back, friendly setting. Tom, the organiser, makes sure there's something for everyone. Men, women, and mixed teams can all find their place here, with league matches and friendly games running through the summer.
Since 1907, the club has been at the heart of the community, now located right next to the Mary Baily playing field on Park Road in Frome since 1915. Tom is particularly proud of the club's licenced bar, which is a hit with members, especially during social events like quiz nights and winter bingo sessions.
Affiliated with both the Somerset Bowls Association and Bowls England, Tom ensures that members get to compete in various competitions at regional and national levels.
New members of any skill level are always welcome. Whether you’re an experienced bowler aiming for competitive matches or a beginner looking for a relaxed game, Tom and the club are there to support you. If you’re curious about lawn bowls, check out the “roll up” sessions every Monday evening at 6:00 pm from mid-April to mid-September. These sessions are perfect for beginners to learn and practice.
With a beautiful green and excellent facilities, Frome Selwood Bowling Club provides a top-notch environment for both competitive and social bowling. Under Tom’s guidance, members have a great place to improve their skills and form lasting friendships.
