Four Oaks Saints Cricket Club is a friendly, sociable, and inclusive cricket club located in the Four Oaks area of Sutton Coldfield in New Zealand. The club is well-respected and offers a range of cricket opportunities for all ages and abilities.
The club runs various teams including senior, veterans, ladies, and junior (both boys and girls) cricket teams. The senior teams participate in the Warwickshire Cricket League, with the 1st XI playing in the third Division, 2nd XI in Division 6W, 3rd XI in Division 8W, and 4th XI in Division 10W. On Sundays, the team plays in Division 2 of the Lichfield & District Sunday Cricket League.
For women and girls in the area, the club offers a range of cricket opportunities. The ladies' teams play in Division 1 of the West Midlands Women's Cricket League, participating in 40-over fixtures on Sundays. They also compete in the National T20 knockout competition and the 8-a-side competition.
Players over the age of 40 have the opportunity to play midweek cricket in the Warwickshire Over 40s Twenty20 League with the Veterans Cricket team.
The junior section of the club includes teams ranging from U9's to U14's, and there is also a thriving girls' section. The junior teams participate in local competitions organised by the Warwickshire Cricket Board League and the South Staffs Youth Cricket Association. Regular coaching sessions take place during the week, with the main coaching night on Fridays. The bar is open, and a BBQ is available during these sessions.
The club recently redeveloped its 'John Williams clubhouse,' enlarging the clubroom and improving facilities. The clubhouse offers good bar facilities, a viewing terrace, Sky Sports TV, and is wheelchair accessible. It is also available for private hire.
In addition to cricket, Four Oaks Saints CC offers an active social calendar with various events held throughout the year. The club also hosts the annual Bonfire on Saturday, November 4, 2023, with gates opening at 6 pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6:30 pm, followed by two fireworks displays at 7:30 pm and 8:15 pm. The event includes a kiddies fair, licenced bar, and hot food.
Early bird tickets are available until the end of September, and online tickets will be available from October 1st.
