Leah has been teaching yoga in New Plymouth for over 30 years. She's co-founder of Found Yoga, a studio that's been hosting classes since November 2021. Found Yoga operates out of the Bell Block Life Skills hall, located on the walkway, and aims to bring yoga to the Bell Block community and beyond.
At Found Yoga, the staff prioritises unity and connection. They aim to provide everyone with an individual experience tailored to their yoga goals. With various classes available, they welcome all abilities and body types. Each class can be adjusted to fit the needs of those attending.
Most classes at Found Yoga are based on Vinyasa, focusing on stretch, strength, and stability. Classes start with grounding meditation and then move into asana, flowing through sequences that build energy and strength. Each session ends with savasana, helping students to relax and integrate the benefits of their practice.
Aside from Vinyasa, Found Yoga also offers Flow and Living in Motion classes, exploring other aspects of yoga. Additionally, they hold monthly Women's Circles and Meditation and Sound Journey events, with details available on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
For those seeking a customised approach, Found Yoga provides private lessons with Kerri. These sessions can be tailored to individual needs and can take place at the studio or in the comfort of your own home.
Leah brings a wealth of experience and passion to Found Yoga. Alongside her 30 years of teaching yoga, she's also studied reiki, sound healing, and meditation. Her knowledge and compassionate approach make her an excellent guide for anyone wanting to deepen their yoga practice.
Found Yoga invites everyone, from beginners to experienced yogis, to join their community. They offer a warm and supportive environment where you can explore the transformative power of yoga.
