Footlights Dance Academy

Footlights Dance Academy, located in Teignmouth, offers a wide range of dance classes for all ages and abilities. With a focus on ballet, jazz, and acrobatics, the academy provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students to learn and grow in their dance journey.

One of the highlights of Footlights Dance Academy is their Dance with Twinklesteps ballet/jazz classes designed specifically for pre-school children. These classes aim to inspire young children to enjoy ballet, dancing, and movement in a fun and imaginative way. The academy's timetable provides detailed information on class times and locations.

The academy offers a variety of classes throughout the week, held at different venues such as Our Lady St. Patrick Primary School in Teignmouth and Gatehouse School in Dawlish. From Preschool Twinklesteps ballet/jazz to Jazz and Acrobatics for various age groups, there is something for everyone at Footlights Dance Academy.

In addition to regular classes, Footlights Dance Academy also offers Dance Parties for children's birthday celebrations. These parties include fun choreography, exciting party games, party dances, glitter tattoos, and the use of props. The academy provides different themes to choose from, ensuring a unique and memorable experience for each child.

During school holidays, Footlights Dance Academy organises Holiday Workshops to keep children occupied and entertained. These workshops include learning new dance routines, playing fun dance/movement games, arts and crafts activities, competitions, and making new friends. The workshops are held at Gatehouse School in Dawlish and provide a fun-filled day for children of all ages.

Footlights Dance Academy is led by Principle & Dance Teacher, Ellie Riley. Ellie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the academy, having studied dance and worked with professional actors during her time at Exeter College and Jason Thomas Performing Arts School. Ellie is supported by Dance Teacher Suzanne Gee, Musical Theatre Teacher Sam Wrey, and Dance Teacher in training Lizzie Brock.
