Mel's approach to fitness is rooted in her own personal journey of overcoming a congenital back problem. Combining her first-hand experience with her academic knowledge, she designs well-rounded, science-based fitness programmes that are enjoyable, varied, challenging, and achievable. Her goal is to help her clients achieve their fitness goals by considering all key components of health and fitness, including strength, stability, mobility, flexibility, cardio strength, and endurance.

She specialises in fitness for women over 40, focusing on managing menopausal symptoms, general well-being, self-esteem, and confidence. Additionally, Mel works with runners to improve performance and reduce the chance of injury, assists individuals with back pain to ease symptoms and strengthen the back, and helps improve the health of clients with conditions such as hypertension, depression, obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis, and post-surgery recovery. She also offers functional fitness training for all ages to improve performance in everyday tasks and provides nutrition and weight loss guidance.
Fitness with Mel offers a range of services to cater to individual needs. Personal training sessions can be conducted on a one-to-one basis or remotely, tailored to meet each client's fitness needs and goals. Mel also offers group training for organisations and individuals, conducting sessions at a location of your choice. These group sessions include cardio HIIT, circuits, strength, and conditioning exercises.
