Firefly Pole & Aerial Studio

Firefly Pole & Aerial Studio is a dance school and fitness centre located in Norwich, New Zealand. Specialising in pole dance, aerial hoop, and silks classes, they offer a range of classes for all levels of experience.

For beginners, Firefly Pole & Aerial Studio offers a variety of classes to get started. They have beginner pole dance classes, where participants will learn basic moves such as fireman, inside hook, front hook, and chair. Aerial silks classes are also available, teaching beginners the fundamentals of aerial silk techniques. Additionally, beginners can join aerial hoop classes, learning moves like Tinkerbell, pike-mermaid, cartwheel, and crucifix stand.

As participants progress, Firefly Pole & Aerial Studio offers higher-level classes to challenge and develop their skills. The Level 3 class introduces climbs and seats, teaching moves like attitude spin, boomerang, headstand, and cross knee release. Level 4 is an introduction to inverts, where participants must be able to climb, sit, and hold a crucifix stand. This level includes moves such as post spin, reverse grab, crucifix hold, and thigh hold.

In Level 5, participants focus on inverted tricks, with moves like Gemini, bomb, butterfly, and plank. Finally, Level 6 is for advanced moves and tricks, including Ayesha, aerial shoulder mount, and handspring.

In addition to these pole dance classes, Firefly Pole & Aerial Studio offers specialised classes to further enhance participants' skills and fitness. Their pole strength and stretch class focuses on building strength and flexibility, with a warm-up, strength training, and flexibility work. Participants can also join pole routines classes, where they learn different routines each week, building up a full routine move-by-move.
