Feldenkrais Class is a yoga studio located in London, specifically in North Kensington and Notting Hill Gate, West London. The studio is run by Sophie Arditti, who is an expert in the Feldenkrais Method. The Feldenkrais Method is an educational approach that focuses on movement, breathing, and body alignment, all within a context of mindfulness.
One of the main offerings of the studio is online group classes, which take place on Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm and Tuesdays from 5:15 to 6:15 pm. These classes can be accessed through Zoom, and the meeting details, including the meeting ID and password, are provided on the studio's website. The cost for six consecutive online lessons is 84, while drop-in options are available for 16. To make a payment, interested individuals can email Sophie Arditti at sophie@feldenkraisplace.

In addition to online group classes, Feldenkrais Class also offers in-person classes. These classes take place on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm and are held at the West London Buddhist Centre. The class fee for in-person sessions is 15. It is important to note that the last class of the term is on December 13th, and classes will resume on January 10th, 2024.
Apart from classes, Feldenkrais Class provides individual lessons called Functional Integration lessons (FI). These lessons are tailored to each individual's specific needs, helping them find a more comfortable and wider range of movement while promoting strength and suppleness. During an FI lesson, participants have the opportunity to discuss their habits of movement with the teacher, followed by lying fully-clothed on a low table as the teacher's hands guide and support them towards new ways of moving and organising themselves. These lessons are particularly useful for addressing specific or long-standing problems.
To learn more about individual lessons, interested individuals can email Sophie Arditti at sophie@feldenkraisplace. Co. uk.
Furthermore, Feldenkrais Class hosts in-person workshops that offer a deeper exploration of the themes covered in the weekly classes. The first workshop of 2024, titled “Ease and Strength in Arms, Hands, Shoulder Joints,” will take place on Saturday, January 20th. This workshop aims to improve the functioning of the arms and hands, ease pain, and increase mobility in the shoulder joints. Participants can expect to experience radical differences in their neck, chest, and back as they focus on the action of the hands, arms, and shoulder joints.
The workshop will be held from 10 am to 1 pm at the Essex Unitarian Church. The cost of the workshop is 70, and mats are provided.
For those interested in learning more about the Feldenkrais Method, Feldenkrais Class offers sample recordings that can be accessed through their website. These recordings provide an insight into the method and its benefits.
