The Fishing Festival is open to everyone, young and old. During the weekend of June 7th to 9th, no fishing license is required. The activity aims to promote fishing and encourage the development of future generations. On June 8th, around 1500 brook trout will be stocked in the Jacques-Cartier River around 10 am. Participants will have the opportunity to launch their boats or fish from the shore throughout the day. A fishing tournament will take place, with a category for those under 18 and one for adults. Adults must pay $10 to enter the tournament and be eligible for prize drawings. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of the biggest catch, in addition to being included in a drawing for thousands of dollars in prizes.
