Exmouth Archers

Sam, the organiser, wishes to share a note with all members of the sports community about Exmouth Archers, based in Exmouth, Devon. Established in 1841, Exmouth Archers stands as one of the region’s renowned archery clubs.

Membership at Exmouth Archers starts with a beginners course led by experienced coaches. Over six weekly sessions, participants learn the basics of archery with all equipment provided. This ensures safety and a solid foundation in the sport. The cost is £55 per person (£30 for juniors).

Once the course is completed, individuals can join the club. Membership fees are £108 annually for adults (£72 for juniors), with the option to pay monthly (£9 for adults, £6 for juniors). Affiliation with ArcheryGB, necessary for insurance, is £52 for adults, with lower rates for juniors.

Regular club sessions take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, and Sunday mornings from 10:30 am. Juniors have a dedicated session on Fridays at 7:00 pm. For those interested in joining or established archers seeking membership, the Club Secretary can be contacted via email.

Exmouth Archers hosts various tournaments throughout the year, with details and registration available on their website. Additionally, they organise one of the largest local car boot sales, providing a great community event with refreshments available. Sellers should arrive early, and buyers typically arrive from 7:30 am.

There’s also an opportunity to try archery during these car boot sales in their indoor centre at £1 for 6 arrows, with no booking required.
