Dedicated to helping students perfect their gymnastics skills. Tilly brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team.
Exeter Trampoline Academy (ETA) was founded in September 2016 as Exeter's first trampolining club. Initially, the club offered trampolining classes at leisure centres and schools in the Exeter area, moving equipment in and out of a van for each session. However, ETA has now launched its new facility in Exeter, with all the equipment specially purchased for the club. This includes two brand new Ultimate trampolines, four recreational trampolines, and one Ultimate Double Mini Trampoline.
Thanks to an incredible grant from the Exeter Foundation, ETA is now able to offer the sport of Double Mini Trampoline (DMT) to the Exeter area.
In addition to trampolining, ETA also offers Rebound Therapy for people with disabilities, aiming to make the sport inclusive for all. Trampolining is an Olympic sport, and the coaching team at ETA has extensive experience, having competed and worked within the national circuit for over 15 years.
At ETA, individuals have the opportunity to learn new skills, have fun, and get fit in a safe and welcoming environment. The club offers taster sessions, allowing individuals to experience the sport for free. ETA is a non-profit organisation, and interested individuals need to purchase an annual membership to attend classes at Exeter Trampoline Centre.
The coaching team at ETA is led by Head Coach Polly Buzza-Johns. Polly has been involved in trampolining since she was 6 years old and began coaching at the age of 15. She is a High Performance Trampoline and DMT coach, with a deep passion for the sport. Sunny is the Level 3 coach and Deputy Manager, with a background as a national competitor in DMT.
With a degree in Primary Education specialising in PE, Sunny brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.
ETA also has a dedicated team of Level 2+ coaches, including Jenni, Laura, Gabby, Abby, Honey, Lara, and Tilly. Each coach has their own area of expertise and a passion for helping individuals perfect their trampolining and gymnastics skills.
Exeter Trampoline Academy is committed to providing quality coaching in a safe and supportive environment. Whether individuals are looking to compete at a national level or simply enjoy the sport for recreational purposes, ETA is the place to be.
