Are you the owner of Esprit Yoga Studio?

At Esprit Yoga Studio, their ethos is grounded in simplicity: through yoga, they aim to help individuals rediscover their spirit. They have created a safe and nurturing space where students can find stillness and feel nourished, not just physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. Whether one chooses to practise at their beautiful studio in Lichfield or through their popular online classes, Esprit Yoga Studio offers authentic yoga practises that provide relief and peace from the constant noise of a hectic life. By allowing oneself the space to practise, students leave feeling recharged, restored, and resilient, enabling them to function better for the people around them.
Esprit Yoga Studio believes in connexion and inclusivity, making it central to their yoga philosophy. They do not concern themselves with fads or gimmicks, as their classes are not gym sessions or gymnastics classes. Instead, they focus on establishing strong and safe foundations, starting with correct posture to help students breathe better. Improved breath leads to an overall sense of well-being.
Esprit Yoga Studio recognises that in the whirlwind of life, it is easy to neglect what truly makes an individual thrive. Therefore, they provide the space and permission to be still and connected, empowering students to reclaim their spark.
Jo, the owner of Esprit Yoga Studio, shares her personal journey and passion for yoga. During her time in Bangalore, India, she reluctantly attended her first yoga class and initially disliked it. However, drawn by the potential for inner peace, she persevered. Jo found herself in a diverse community of practitioners, all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds, from doctors to cleaners, elderly to young, and even mothers with their children.
Nobody was perfect, and that was fine. The class focused equally on breath, meditation, and physical practise, allowing Jo to appreciate the time she took for herself, finding meaning beyond flexibility. Returning to the UK, she encountered yoga classes that felt devoid of connexion and introspection. After an extensive search, she eventually found her place in a studio that resonated with her, feeling a sense of “coming home.
” Now, Jo aims to bring that same sense of connexion and authenticity to her students at Esprit Yoga Studio, where egos are left at the door. As a Yoga Master with 500 hours of training and certifications in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra relaxation, and Pre and Postnatal Yoga, Jo's classes are designed to nourish both body and mind, offering respite from the noise of day-to-day life. Esprit Yoga Studio provides an inclusive environment where individuals can reignite their spirits, allowing them to thrive outside the studio walls.
Esprit Yoga Studio's classes primarily focus on Hatha Yoga, offering a steady-paced practise that incorporates various asanas (poses) and pranayama (breathing techniques). Students can expect a balanced combination of physical movement, breathwork, and relaxation. Each class is carefully crafted to cater to different levels of experience and abilities, ensuring that all participants feel supported and encouraged throughout their journey.
