ESKA Karate at Dereham Leisure Centre is a karate club located in Dereham, Norfolk. Led by Chief Instructor Jason Hitchings, a 6th Dan black belt, the club is a part of the Eastern Shotokan Karate Association (ESKA), a professional karate organisation based in East Anglia.
ESKA is dedicated to teaching traditional Shotokan Karate to the highest standard. With the guidance and support of our team of qualified professional instructors, we provide a safe environment for students of all ages and abilities to grow and achieve their full potential in Karate-do.
Since its establishment in 1995, ESKA has had over 6000 members start their karate journey with the club. We pride ourselves in nurturing the potential of each individual in a safe and supportive environment, helping them succeed not only in karate but also in their everyday lives. Through our structured class system, comprehensive syllabus, and examination programme, students develop important life skills such as perseverance, self-discipline, and confidence.
ESKA is proud to have produced black belt students as well as individuals who have achieved success in National, European, and International Championships. Our instructors are experienced and knowledgeable, ensuring that students receive professional and top-quality karate instruction.
