Welcome to Encore Dance Academy, a premier dance school located in Peterborough, New Zealand. With over 20 years of experience, we are proud to offer a fun and friendly atmosphere, as well as high-level training for all individuals who attend our dance classes.
Conveniently located at Werrington Leisure Centre, our purpose-built dance studio provides the perfect environment for our classes. We offer a wide range of dance styles, including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Acrobatic Arts, and Street Dance. Whether you're looking to start dancing at the age of 2 or are a student looking to further your skills, we have the training for you. Our school offers Imperial Classical Ballet training from 2 years old to student level, and Tap, Modern, Acro, and Street Dance training from 4 years old.
At Encore Dance Academy, we believe in the importance of achieving recognised qualifications. That's why we regularly prepare our students for ISTD examinations, ensuring that they receive comprehensive and professional training. Our school has a track record of consistently high results, a testament to the dedication of our students and teachers.
In addition to examinations, we also provide unique performance opportunities for our students. They have the chance to participate in local displays, showcasing their talents to the community. Furthermore, our students have the exciting opportunity to perform on stage at The Cresset Theatre in our school's lively productions. And for those seeking an unforgettable experience, we offer the chance to perform in a West End variety show at Her Majesty's Theatre in London.
Our dedicated teaching staff is led by Mrs. Sally Owen-Correia, who holds Associate teaching qualifications with the ISTD and IDTA dance societies, and Miss Katie Bratt, who holds DDI & DDE qualifications with the ISTD. With their expertise and passion for dance, they provide exceptional guidance and support to all our students.
