Empowered Studios

Empowered Studios, located in Salford, New Zealand, is a dance school serving the communities of Swinton, Pendlebury, and beyond. With a successful 9-year history in Salford, Empowered Studios has recently opened a second studio in Horwich. Formerly known as Twizzles Dance Studios, Empowered Horwich offers the same high standard of teaching in Acro, Freestyle, Commercial Street, Mini Movers, and Lyrical Slow Dance Styles.

The Swinton Studio, situated at 1 Hilton Square, Swinton, Pendlebury, Manchester, M27 4DB, offers a wide variety of dance classes for all ages. Empowered students regularly compete and excel in prestigious national dance competitions, as well as participate in annual showcases and IDTA/UKA Exams. The Horwich Studio, located at 118a Lee Lane, Horwich, Bolton, BL6 7AF, provides the same excellent standard of dance education.

Freestyle dance classes at Empowered focus on strength, flexibility, stamina, and technique. Students have the opportunity to take part in showcases, attain freestyle medal awards, and improve their skills with Freestyle Grades through the IDTA. The studio also offers a competitive Freestyle programme for those looking to take their dancing to the next level.

Street Dance classes at Empowered are a popular choice for children, where routines and movements are taught to the latest chart hits and old school classics. This class not only helps children improve their dance skills but also boosts their confidence as they meet new friends and become more comfortable performing in front of others.

For those interested in exploring the art of Contemporary Dance, Empowered Studios offers classes that allow individuals to develop their own style of free movement. Drawing on the foundations of classical ballet and modern jazz, contemporary dance incorporates elements from various dance styles and focuses on body control, improvisation, and interpretation.

Younger children can also benefit from Empowered Studios' dance classes. The Baby Ballet class is suitable for children aged two to three years old and serves as an excellent introduction to dance. Ballet and Tap classes are also available for children aged two years and above, providing a strong foundation in these classic dance styles.
