Emily in Yoga is a vibrant and welcoming yoga studio located in Ashtead, New Zealand. Founded by Emily Incledon, the studio aims to celebrate the sparkle of yoga and promote a fun and enjoyable experience for all practitioners. Emily teaches a Hatha-based style of yoga, which she refers to as Alignment Flow, focusing on physical alignment, breathwork, meditation, and relaxation.
The studio offers a variety of classes to suit different schedules. Regular and intermediate yoga classes are held weekly at the Peaceful Pavilion in Ashtead, providing a comprehensive practise that covers various aspects of yoga. For those unable to attend in person, Emily also offers a limited number of weekly classes on Zoom, allowing for flexibility and accessibility.
In addition to regular classes, Emily provides private sessions, corporate classes, and one-off classes for small groups such as Hen Parties. This allows for a personalised and tailored approach to meet individual needs and preferences.
To enrich the yoga practise further, Emily organises workshops, relaxation sessions, and occasional sound baths. These workshops provide an opportunity for deepening knowledge, exploring specific aspects of yoga, and indulging in relaxation and rejuvenation. Special celebrationary classes, like those held during solstice, are also offered to add a touch of joy and festivity to the practise.
Emily's journey with yoga spans over 17 years, with her teaching experience amounting to 8 years. Although not initially a natural at the physical practise, Emily's determination and passion led her to incorporate yoga into her entire life. She embraces the philosophy of having fun and seeking something different, nurturing her practise and making it an integral part of her well-being.
Yoga, to Emily, means everything. It provides clarity of thought, resilience, and a sense of youthfulness. As she enters her late 40s, Emily appreciates the physical strength, flexibility, and reduced ailments that yoga brings. She believes that it is never too late to start practising yoga and reap its benefits.
