Chris here, just wanted to share a few things about EMAR Staines Martial Arts Academy - our local award-winning martial arts club based right here in Staines. For those who don't know, we specialise in Kyokushin Karate, offering training for all ages and skill levels.
Karate, which means “emptiness,” focuses on developing the physical, mental, and spiritual sides of its practitioners. Chris always emphasises the importance of truly immersing yourself in the practice, leaving behind all thoughts and emotions.
One of the events we're quite proud of at EMAR is the annual Karate Summer Camp. It’s a fantastic opportunity to train with top athletes and instructors, gaining insights and inspiration. This year, we’re thrilled to have Matthew Syed, Olympian and best-selling author, joining us for a seminar.
Throughout the year, Chris organises seminars with top-notch athletes and instructors. These sessions are great for honing your skills in a focused environment.
We offer something for everyone. There are group classes for adults and kids, tailored to different aspects of Karate training. If you're after a more personalised approach, there are personal training sessions available.
For those who prefer training from home, we’ve got online combat HIIT classes. It’s a convenient way to keep up with your martial arts journey, even when you can't make it to the dojo.
We also run elite performance training, summer camps, and a coach development programme. Our approach is well-rounded, focusing on building physical abilities along with mental strength, discipline, and resilience.
We want to make it easy for everyone, so alongside our main Staines dojo, we’ve got locations in Richmond and Putney. Our team of instructors is highly skilled and ready to help you achieve your goals.
Safety is a big deal for us. There’s a comprehensive set of Dojo rules and safeguarding measures in place to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.
