Elska Yoga, based in Bideford, is a yoga instructor with a passion for helping others find balance and calm in their lives. With over two decades of experience in the Youth Justice System and as a children's Social Worker, Elska understands the stresses and pressures that can negatively impact one's physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
After realising the need for a change in her own life and for the betterment of her family, Elska decided to shift her focus towards yoga and meditation teaching. These practises have personally helped her find balance and peace amidst life's challenges, and she is dedicated to sharing these teachings with others.
With a wealth of experience in holding space for individuals of all ages, including adults, children, and those with additional needs, Elska understands the importance of listening, empathising, and understanding her students. By utilising these skills, she aims to help her students find their own answers and inner calm through the transformative power of yoga.
Elska offers a range of classes tailored to different needs and abilities. Her classes include meditation, breath work, and gentle flow as an introduction to yoga and meditation. These classes are held on Wednesdays at 7:45pm in Bideford. Additionally, she provides 1-2-1 yoga sessions designed to suit individual needs.
For beginners, Elska offers yoga classes in Torrington on Tuesday evenings at Castle Hill Community Centre, and in Merton on Wednesday mornings at Clinton Hall. These classes are perfect for those new to yoga who are looking to explore its benefits and learn the foundations of the practise.
Elska also teaches yoga at Bideford College specifically for year 11 and sixth form students. These classes take place on Tuesdays at 4:15pm in the Drama studio.
Additionally, Elska offers special events such as the “Rest and De-stress” workshop happening on Sunday, January 28th from 2-5pm. This workshop provides an opportunity for relaxation and rejuvenation.
For those looking to deepen their practise, Elska offers a course called “Meditate with me” that aims to help participants say goodbye to stress and overwhelm. The course started on January 8th and runs for 99 British pounds.
