Divers must be qualified or under instruction, and solo diving is not permitted. Dive schools/clubs/associations must also have current public liability insurance with a minimum cover of 5,000,000.

The lake is also home to various fish breeds including Perch, Trout, Sturgeon, Carp, and Golden Rudd.

To facilitate easy entry and exit, the lake has multiple entrances, including 2 deep water entrances and a slope with railings. Kitting up is made easier with many kitting up benches around the water's edge. Other amenities include changing rooms, toilets, a brand new café with hot drinks and hot food (available on weekends), and lockers (own lock needed).
