Stephanie's passion for yoga began at a young age, under the guidance of her mother, who was a respected yoga teacher for over 50 years. Inspired by her mother's teachings, Stephanie embarked on a journey to New Delhi, India, where she studied the art and practise of yoga. This extensive training has allowed Stephanie to develop a unique teaching style that combines deep breathing, postures, and relaxation.
Hatha Yoga is the main focus of Edinburgh Yoga, as it is known to balance the body, mind, and spirit. This ancient practise works on all bodily systems, toning muscles, stimulating circulation, and improving overall health. In today's fast-paced world, yoga offers a powerful antidote to the stresses of modern life.
In addition to yoga classes, Edinburgh Yoga also offers a wide range of massage therapies. Stephanie is a qualified massage therapist, having studied with the Scottish School of Professional Massage & Remedial Studies. These therapies, based at Bell's Brae House in the Dean Village, provide a centuries-old technique that induces deep relaxation and healing of the body.
For those looking for a holistic experience, Edinburgh Yoga offers Yogassage, a unique combination of yoga and massage. This treatment allows individuals to release tension and stretch with an hour of one-to-one yoga tuition, followed by a soothing and relaxing back and shoulder massage.
