Eastbourne Bowling Club

Welcome to the Eastbourne Bowling Club, located at 179 Muritai Rd in Eastbourne, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. This club is proud to be the home of the 2016, 2017, and 2018 National Inter Club Men's Champions. The Men's premier team was also awarded Team of the Year at the Hutt Valley Sports Awards in 2017 and 2018. The club was founded in 1907 and boasts one of the finest greens in the country, which was completely refurbished and re-sown in 2016.

The Eastbourne Bowling Club is conveniently situated just a three-minute walk from Eastbourne Village. It is accessed down a right of way, providing a quiet and protected environment. The Village itself is the starting point of the Heritage Trail, which ends approximately 2 km away by the Wahine mast. We highly recommend visiting this attraction after your bowling session.

Visitors, social bowlers, and new members are always welcome at the Eastbourne Bowling Club. Our club rooms are available for hire for a range of functions, and we offer bar service if required. Catering can be self-service or provided by one of the excellent caterers in the Village.

Casual and social bowls are an integral part of the club's activities. During summer, we have a casual player “roll-up” each week on Tuesdays at 2. 30 pm for men. In the winter months, this is held at the Naenae Bowling Club.

Additionally, we have a social 'roll up' on Fridays from 2. 00 pm for women. We also run a Community Bowls programme, and teams are welcome to participate by emailing us. Coaching is available for newcomers, as we believe that getting the basics right is important for an enjoyable experience and faster progression in the game.

The Eastbourne Bowling Club hosts various social events, including dinners, quiz nights, and bingo nights.
