The East Anglian Martial Arts Centre is committed to protecting and respecting privacy. They do not collect any information through their website, and any queries sent via email will receive a reply without any use of the provided information for marketing or follow-up purposes.
The main dojo at the centre measures 50ft x 25ft and features a fully matted training area with Geemats and three crash mats. Additionally, there are long and short punch bags, as well as a speedball, placed to the side of the training area. A second dojo, measuring 16ft x 25ft, is located at the rear of the building.
The centre is equipped with a range of sparing equipment, including strike shields of various sizes and shapes. They also have a comprehensive selection of traditional weaponry available, although for security reasons, these items are not stored on-site.
The history of the East Anglian Martial Arts Centre dates back to its origins as a church hall. It was purchased by the current owner, Chris Clutten, from the church diocese in 1993. Extensive repair work and decorating were undertaken before the centre officially opened. Ongoing maintenance and improvements, such as window replacements, have been carried out over the years.
Originally, only the main hall had heating, consisting of three-phase electric heaters. These were later replaced with a Reznor hot air heater, which has the capacity to heat the hall quickly and efficiently, leaving the training area free from radiators.
The centre is represented online with a website at www. Eamac. Uk, which features various sections, including information about the centre, its clubs, the history of ju-jitsu, and contact details. Additionally, they are linked with several sports organisations, including Sportengland, Sport and Recreation Alliance, British Ju-Jitsu Association, and GB Bushido Ju-Jitsu Academy.
