To preserve the natural beauty of Eagles Nest Lookout and Brooyar State Forest, it is essential for visitors to adhere to certain guidelines. These include not disturbing any plants, animals, soil, or rocks, using fuel stoves for cooking whenever possible, and bringing your own clean-milled firewood if planning to use a wood fire for cooking.
It is also important not to feed or leave food for animals, stay on designated roads and walking tracks to prevent erosion, and properly dispose of rubbish and recyclable waste as bins are not provided. While dogs are permitted, they must remain under control and on a leash at all times.
Managed by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) under the Forestry Act 1959, Brooyar State Forest aims to preserve and present its natural and cultural values while providing nature-based recreational opportunities. Future planning for the forest will be developed under the Values Based Management Framework.
