David would like to extend a warm welcome to all members of the sports community to come and experience Dyno Climbing Centre, a friendly and inclusive climbing gym located in Buckfastleigh, United Kingdom. Open to climbers of all ages and abilities, David and his team aim to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for anyone interested in rock climbing.
Dyno Climbing Centre features a roped climbing wall suitable for both top rope and lead climbing, offering 25 different climbing lines with grades from 3 to 7b. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced climber, there are routes available to challenge and inspire you.
In addition to the roped climbing area, there's a boulder room with over 50 problems for climbers of all levels, from beginner (V0) to advanced (V8). The boulder room offers a wide range of climbing challenges.
After a climb, you can refuel and relax at the on-site café, serving locally sourced coffee, fresh cakes, and an array of snacks to keep you energised.
David has organised various sessions and courses for those wanting to improve their skills or try climbing for the first time. Taster sessions provide a chance for beginners to try out climbing with an instructor, and introduction to climbing sessions cover the basics. Refresher sessions are available for climbers who need a reminder of essential skills, and personalised coaching sessions are also offered.
For young climbers, there are fun sessions and activities tailored to their age and abilities. Kids' fun sessions offer an hour of climbing, games, and guided activities led by experienced instructors. Toddler sessions introduce climbing through exploration and play. Additionally, NICAS classes are available for climbers aged 7 and above, which is a nationally recognised climbing award scheme.
Dyno Climbing Centre is also a popular spot for birthday parties, offering three different packages: boulder room only parties and instructor-led parties on the roped climbing wall and bouldering area. All party sessions are 1.5 hours long, followed by 30 minutes in the café area for food and celebration.
There are various pricing options, including daily and monthly memberships, as well as discounted rates for registered climbers. Equipment rental, such as climbing shoes, harnesses, belay devices, and chalk bags, is available for a small fee.
David and his team have created a friendly atmosphere with diverse climbing options, making Dyno Climbing Centre the perfect place for anyone looking to take up rock climbing or challenge themselves further in a safe and inclusive environment.
