Welcome to Dumfries Wado-Kai Karate Club, a traditional style Wado-Ryu karate club located in Dumfries, Scotland. The club is proudly supported by the membership of the Scottish Karate Federation and the Scottish Karate Governing Body.

Dumfries Wado-Kai is one of the few clubs in the area that has been accredited by Dumfries and Galloway Council and the Scottish Sports Council, allowing us to teach karate at schools and participate in the active school's programme. This recognition highlights our commitment to promoting the martial arts and its benefits to the community.

Our club welcomes individuals of all ages, starting from five years old and above. We believe in providing a safe and supportive environment for our members, where the emphasis for our younger members is on having fun and developing their skills, while our older members are encouraged to push themselves for greater fitness and improvement of technique.

We offer classes on Tuesdays and Fridays at various locations. On Tuesdays, we have classes for all ages at Lochvale House in Georgetown. The Karate Cubs class, designed for children under 12 years old, runs from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. The Adults and Kyu Grades class follows from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

The cost for these classes is 20 per month, with one lesson offered for free if the month has five weeks. Alternatively, a pay-as-you-train option is available for 5 per session.

On Fridays, we hold classes for all ages at DG1 Leisure Complex. The U12's class takes place from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, followed by the Adults and Kyu Grades class from 7:00pm to 8:15pm. The pricing options for these classes are the same as the Tuesday classes.
