Drury Lane Dance Studio offers performance opportunities for both junior and senior students. Each year, selected students are chosen to form performance teams, where they study all styles of dance and entertain audiences at various organisations and functions throughout the Waikato. These performances offer students the chance to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience in a professional setting.
At Drury Lane Dance Studio, there are classes available to suit everyone's needs. Whether you're a beginner looking to try out dance for the first time or an experienced dancer wanting to enhance your skills, there's a class for you. The studio offers a variety of styles including jazz, ballet, contemporary, tap, hip hop, and musical theatre. All classes are taught by qualified teachers who are experienced in their respective disciplines.
The faculty at Drury Lane Dance Studio comprises highly qualified and experienced teachers. Kerry Davis, the owner and full-time teacher with over 47 years of experience, teaches NZAMD senior jazz, NZAMD contemporary, NZAMD ballet, BAL jazz, and junior and senior performance. Kerry is also a freelance director/choreographer and has worked on numerous productions and events throughout her career.
Hannah Devlin, another dedicated teacher at the studio, has been dancing with Drury Lane Dance and Performance for 20 years and teaching for the past 7 years. She specialises in NZAMD jazz and junior performance. Hannah has a Bachelor's degree in Communication studies and a graduate certificate in Marketing. She has also been nominated for NZAMD scholarships and has performed with the Intermediate Performance Group at Disneyland and various events in the Waikato.
