Doubtless Bay Croquet Club

Welcome to Doubtless Bay Croquet Club, where you can enjoy a game of “Croquet by the sea” in Cable Bay, New Zealand. This spirited club is open to all ages and abilities, providing a welcoming environment for beginners and experienced players alike.

To get started, simply drop by the club during our playing hours and enjoy your first four visits free of charge. Our friendly members are more than happy to offer coaching sessions at no additional cost, ensuring that you feel confident and comfortable with the game. Mallets are available for borrowing until you find your own rhythm, and all other necessary equipment is provided.

Please remember to wear flat-soled shoes (no jandals! ) and sport casual attire for optimal performance and comfort. An annual subscription fee, along with a small lawn fee for each game, is required. Details regarding the subscription can be found on the club notice board.

In addition, the subscription grants you the privilege of playing as a visitor at any croquet club in New Zealand. As a member, you'll also receive ongoing coaching sessions free of charge.

Club days are held every Wednesday and Saturday morning. During the winter months, please arrive at 9:00am to begin play promptly at 9:30am. In the summer, our start time shifts to 9:00am, with an arrival time of 8:30am.
