Welcome to Doubleview Bowling Club, a sports club located in Perth, Western Australia, with a history dating back to 1958. Doubleview Bowling Club has established itself as a top-performing club, earning the title of “Club of the Year” in 1991.
Our Men's top League Division is a force to be reckoned with, having achieved twelve metropolitan leadingships, most recently in the 2019/20 season. The club takes pride in its association with Bowls WA Hall of Fame Inductees, including Beryl Godfrey, Dennis Katunarich, John Rainoldi, Robbie Ball, and Lindsay Thorn, as well as several Western Australian representatives.
When you visit Doubleview Bowling Club, you will find exceptional facilities to enhance your bowling experience. We have three well-maintained turf greens and an all-weather synthetic green, providing a variety of playing surfaces for you to enjoy. The club also boasts a fully stocked bar offering TAB services, allowing you to relax and socialise after a game. Our well-equipped kitchen and dining area provide delicious meals prepared by our talented Chef Jacob D'Vauz.
The history of Doubleview Bowling Club traces back to the mid-1950s when the Scarborough RSL Sub Branch initiated discussions about establishing a Memorial Bowling Club. On April 15th, 1958, the Doubleview Bowling Club (Inc) was officially formed, thanks to the support of the Perth Road Board, which provided land and development assistance. The club's original clubhouse was a partitioned brick greenkeeper's shed, which was expanded over the years to accommodate the needs of the growing membership.
Doubleview Bowling Club is also proud of its affiliated Ladies Club, which was formed in 1960 and had its official opening in January 1961. The Ladies Club has had numerous achievements, with Beryl Godfrey representing Australia in the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and Ella Reynolds receiving the prestigious May Campbell Service to Sport Award in 1989.
